In 2009 we caught a total of 13,765-12-0 beating the 2008 total by over 2,000 lbs

Lee Green Angling Club is a small, friendly freshwater angling club based in Lee Green, near Lewisham in South London. We primarily fish good day ticket waters in Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Essex every second Sunday from March to December.
Suggestions for new venues are always welcome.
Most of the fishing is organised as matches but the main aim is just to enjoy good fishing in a light hearted atmosphere with some friends. Our main priority when choosing venues is that everybody will catch fish no matter what their ability. Visitors and newcomers are always welcome.
Our 2010 Season has now started and we would love to have you fishing with us BUT we were so successful in attracting new members in 2009 that we reluctantly had to introduce a waiting list for the time being. Priority will obviously be given to guests who show commitment. Just look at the Contact Us page for an application form. We hope you enjoy our site. Let us know, but above all, TIGHT LINES.

The 2009 season was our most successful yet!
THE TOTAL MATCH WEIGHT CAUGHT IN 2009 WAS 13,765-12-0
WHICH IS A NEW CLUB RECORD
and beats the previous record set in 2008 by over 2,000 lbs.
Between us, in 20 matches with an average of 15 anglers per match, we have:

caught 13,765 lbs of fish which is a NEW CLUB RECORD and over 2,000 lbs up on last years record year
caught an average of over 45 lbs of fish per angler per outing
4 of us caught over 1,000 lbs of fish each
broken, or set, 9 Club Venue Records

BUT if you just want a quiet day out fishing with some good companions then that is fine too.
The most important thing to us is that everybody enjoys their day out and catches some fish.
We just use the match fishing environment as a convenient way of measuring how well we are doing.

Catches of over 100 lbs are quite common. Pretty good going by any standards.

Most matches are fished with 2 rods, one of which must be for float fishing, subject to fishery rules.

So many fisheries now insist on using 2 keepnets that it has been agreed that in future this will be the rule for all club matches.

Membership for 2010 is still only £40 plus £10 per outing though this is subject to confirmation at our AGM in February.

Unfortunately your own transport is essential.

On 29th April 2007 we held a Charity Match at
Horseshoe Lake, Tylers Common, Essex.
